Perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax
The breakfasts were gourmet! I had this croissant blueberry custard the first morning that was out of this world. Not to mention the warm, welcoming atmosphere provided by Chuck, who treated us like family.
It wasn’t a bargain, but the experience made it worthwhile.

The common rooms are spacious with lots of light.
My stay was incredibly frustrating. I encountered a noisy disturbance at 12:30 AM when someone decided to play the piano downstairs. Additionally, I found the bed in my room to be a bit soft for my liking, making it difficult to get a good night's rest. The coffee situation was disappointing as well. I would have liked hot coffee and cream available outside of the breakfast hours.

The location made it incredibly easy to explore downtown Wilmington on foot. My queen room with garden view felt spacious and impeccably clean. It had a lovely in-room coffee station. I really enjoyed the access to the balcony. sitting out there was a peaceful way to relax after a busy day. Breakfasts were delicious, featuring a standout blueberry custard croissant one morning. However, the coffee situation was a bit disappointing. I wish there had been more options available outside breakfast hours. Also, during the night, there was noise from someone playing the piano downstairs around 12:30 AM that disrupted my sleep. Despite this, the homemade cookies waiting for me on arrival were a sweet touch that brightened my day.

The location offered the best of both worlds, allowing for easy access to downtown while providing a peaceful retreat. My queen room with a garden view was not only spacious but also impeccably clean and nicely decorated. The delightful breakfast was a highlight, especially with the inclusion of premium meats, and the homemade cookies added a sweet touch to my arrival. However, the service at check-in was frustratingly slow, the room amenities were lacking, and I noticed some wear and tear throughout the property that detracted from the experience.
